Team Charter

Team 307 will operate as a professional engineering team to design, develop, and integrate an embedded systems solution for a submersible exploration device. The team will emulate industry best practices by establishing defined technical roles, adhering to structured milestones and deadlines, and maintaining clear, consistent communication across team members. Each member will take ownership of a subsystem aligned with their technical strengths while collaborating closely with teammates to ensure seamless system integration, continuous collaboration, and iterative improvement throughout the design lifecycle.

The team came about this team charter to make sure a real industry engineering team is simulated while practicing principles you'd commonly find in the corporate workplace, and practice documenting and presenting KPI (key performance indicators) for real engineering projects.

Product Mission Statement

The mission of the Submersible Exploration Device is to enable safe, intelligent, and efficient underwater exploration through autonomous 3-axis navigation, environmental data acquisition (pressure and temperature), obstacle detection in the device's path of movement, and to have a modular human-machine interface for real-time monitoring and control.
